We are thrilled to announce that Bind Media has been recognised as the Best Boutique Agency to work for in 2024 by Campaign! Not only did we top the boutique category, but we also ranked first overall among Campaign’s list of the top 100 Best Places to Work in UK adland.

As Campaign notes:

“Campaign has revealed its Best Places to Work 2024, ranking the top 100 workplaces in UK adland. The estimable list, which is held in association with Connor Broadley Benefits Consulting, celebrates companies that are regarded highly by their employees and can demonstrate how they benefit their staff.

A newcomer, Bath marketing agency Bind Media, took the top spot, while adtech company Mobsta came in second overall among the 100 workplaces. Other top 10 performers include creative shop Truant London, experience specialist RPM and media agency December19.”

This prestigious accolade underscores our commitment to creating a workplace where our employees feel valued, supported, and inspired. We are honoured to be recognised alongside such esteemed companies and look forward to continuing our journey of excellence and innovation.

Here’s a closer look at what makes Bind Media a standout place to work.

A Diverse and Inclusive Workplace Culture

At Bind Media, we believe that diversity drives innovation. Our recruitment process is designed to be inclusive, focusing on the unique skills and experiences each candidate can bring to the team. We emphasise “team add” over “team fit,” ensuring that our workforce is rich in diverse perspectives. Currently, our leadership is equally balanced with 50% female and 50% male representation, which reflects our commitment to gender equality.

Flexibility and Work-Life Balance

We understand the importance of flexibility in today’s working environment. That’s why we offer a hybrid and flexible working policy that supports both remote and international work. While coming into the office is optional, our team typically chooses to do so two to three days per week on a voluntary basis. We also offer sabbaticals, allowing our team members to take extended breaks to recharge and pursue personal projects.

Prioritising Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Wellness

Sustainability and social responsibility are at the core of our values. We actively engage in charitable and community projects, donating 10% of the first fee from every new client to charity. Wellness is also a key priority. We provide weekly wellness hours, a range of health benefits, and enhanced adoption, maternity, and paternity leave. To further support our employees, we allow bank holidays to be taken at their discretion, offer an extra day off for birthdays, and close the agency for an end-of-year break.

Commitment to Employee Wellbeing

Mental health and well-being are integral to our workplace culture. We closely manage workloads to prevent fatigue and encourage open, honest communication through monthly one-to-one meetings. Our managers are formally trained to promote work-life balance and support their teams effectively. We also have mental health first aiders on staff and provide subscriptions to mindfulness apps like Headspace.

We believe that taking care of our people leads to outstanding results. Our commitment to our team sometimes means making tough decisions, such as parting ways with clients who have unreasonable expectations. As our co-founder, Eliot Shiner explains:

“It’s all about looking after our people because we believe that goes a long way. It has translated into clients that are very pleased to be working with people that are passionate about what they do.”

Our caring approach ensures that our employees are passionate, motivated, and able to deliver exceptional service to our clients. By prioritising the well-being of our team, we create a positive and productive work environment that benefits everyone involved

Supporting a Diverse Workforce

To foster a diverse and inclusive workplace, we offer part-time roles and provide reasonable adjustments as needed. Bind Media is a certified Disability Confident employer, and we’ve updated our workplace policies to support employees through periods, menopause, transitioning, and breastfeeding.

Celebrating Together

At Bind Media, we believe in the power of team bonding and shared experiences. We organise yearly trips abroad, monthly social events, and even a weekly Deliveroo lunch. These activities help build a strong sense of community and ensure that our team feels connected and valued.

Our Philosophy

As Eliot Shiner puts it, “We should be perfectly capable of delivering a brilliant service, being very profitable, and not being stressed out.” This philosophy guides us in everything we do, from selecting clients who align with our values to ensuring that our employees are passionate about their work.

We are incredibly proud of the workplace culture we’ve built at Bind Media and are honoured to be recognised as the best place to work in 2024. Here’s to another year of innovation, collaboration, and success!

We hope this gives you an overview of what makes Bind Media an exceptional place to work. If you’re interested in joining our team, check out our careers page for current openings!

Fun fact: I’ve got an obsession with making weirdly specific playlists on Spotify and talk in TikTok references only.
