Fetching an 81% revenue increase for Pet Drugs Online.

Pet Drugs Online is the UK’s leading online provider of pet medicine, food and accessories, serving thousands of customers for 15 years.

The challenge.

They reached out to Bind Media with a long history of advertising, looking for an agile and expert partner to achieve their most ambitious revenue growth targets to date.

With Google shaking up the landscape with Performance Max and GA4, they were struggling with consistency and the scale they needed to meet their targets.

An outdated approach to account structure and campaign management was stunting their growth in a market that they should have been dominating.

I can't say enough good things about Bind Media! Their team's expertise and strategic approach have transformed our campaigns and delivered exceptional results. From concept to execution, the agency's dedication and attention to detail have elevated our brand to new heights and we've seen remarkable growth.

The approach.

Complete account overhaul and restructure.

The paid media setup required a completely fresh approach to the account structure, involving substantial amounts of consolidation at both an account and campaign level, but segmentation introduced at ad group level to allow for carefully crafted product/brand/category specific ad copy.

What had been 9 separate ad accounts become one single fully optimised account, with campaign targets aligned with product and category profitability and growth potential expanded significantly.

Feed improvements.

We oversaw the introduction of a new and improved product feed, and optimised the categorisation of 10k products to align with the modernised structure and boost shopping network performance.

Reintroduction of Microsoft Ads.

After a 6 year absence from advertising on Bing due to previous poor performance, we brought it back into the fold and saw an immediate positive impact on revenue. Competitors who had enjoyed free reign over the channel quickly found themselves up against an aggressive and efficient Bing Ads structure, with spend growing consistently while hitting a ROAS that regularly exceeded that of Google Ads.

Measurement overhaul.

Identifying and fixing GA4 attribution issues for vastly improved big picture clarity - site banners and navigation were claiming credit for sales from the other channels, and exacerbating other referral issues, clouding visibility on what channels were actually driving performance. We continuously identified and troubleshooted these issues, allowing the client to have more faith in their marketing analytics.

The results

In the first month of partnering, the revenue goal was shattered, with revenue increasing 86%. The first year of our management resulted in an 81% YoY revenue increase with a 50% ROAS increase. New customer acquisition initiatives through custom audiences further amplified performance through growth in both new customers and lifetime value. The second year saw budgets remain static, but we were able to bring a 8% further increase in revenue YoY, and 4.4% further increase in ROAS.

What truly sets Bind apart is their unique blend of professionalism, creativity, and a genuine care for people as much as for results. The team were not only experts at delivering impactful campaigns but also exceptional partners who made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. They listened, adapted, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our goals were met - often exceeded.
