The job market is tough right now, and we've noticed a lot of senior marketing professionals asking for advice and support with their job search. At Bind Media, we believe in helping the community, so we’ve created a resource specifically for marketing directors and senior professionals who are between jobs.

Part 1: Free resources you can use yourself

To get you started, we’ve included suggested ways of using some free resources you can use to conduct preliminary research and uncover valuable insights.

  • Website Performance: Guidance on how to use tools like Google's PageSpeed Insights to check for loading time issues and BuiltWith to see what platforms and tools the website is built on. You can also examine cookie data to see what other tools they’re using.
  • Ad Campaign Analysis: Get a feel for their paid media strategy by using the Meta and LinkedIn Ads Library to review their active ads and competitors' ads. Use our Performance Creative Framework to critique their ad creative and identify strengths or areas for improvement.
  • Traffic & Market Trends: Use SimilarWeb to spot traffic trends, identify key acquisition channels, and benchmark against competitors. Use Google Trends to understand broader shifts in consumer interest and seasonal patterns, which shows you’re audience-focused.
  • Market Research: Use our prompt on any LLM (e.g. Gemini) to uncover insights into the company’s target audience, market and competition.
