On a rare sunny morning in February, I stepped into our office and was instantly greeted by a scene that felt both familiar and special. The scent of freshly toasted bagels lingered in the air, mingling with the hum of conversation and the occasional burst of laughter. After a minor flooding incident had pushed us into a predominantly remote setup, being back together under one roof again felt like a reunion of sorts.
The energy was effortless yet electric. Some were huddled around their screens, deep in discussion, while others took a break for an impromptu Mario Kart race. A group was heading out for a quick dog walk as the coffee machine hummed its steady grind.
Standing there, watching the team in their element, it hit me: this is what everyone at Bind has worked hard to build. On the surface, it might look like a typical office, but it’s so much more. Collaboration flows effortlessly, creativity sparks in the everyday, and camaraderie isn’t something we strive for; it’s just there. This wasn’t about perks or policies; it was about people, about fostering an environment where everyone genuinely wants to be. At that moment, I truly felt like we had achieved something special, and we had done it the right way.

More than an award – a testament to our culture
That feeling isn’t just anecdotal; it’s reflected in the recognition we’ve received. This year, we’ve been ranked #15 in the UK Best Workplaces™ (Small category), climbing from #27 last year. It’s a considerable achievement, but more than that, it’s a reminder of what we’ve built together.
When we received our Great Place to Work certification, it wasn’t just about the title. It was about what it meant.
In an industry known for its relentless pace, where burnout is common and high-pressure environments are the norm, we’ve developed a different workplace, one where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work.

Building a workplace that works for everyone
Creating a truly great workplace doesn’t happen by accident, it’s built through everyday decisions, thoughtful policies, and a commitment to evolving with our team’s needs. At Bind Media, we believe three core pillars shape our culture: Flexibility & Balance, Transparency & Trust, and Growth & Recognition.
Flexibility & balance
Life doesn’t always fit into a 9-to-5 schedule, so we’ve designed a working model that adapts to real-life needs. We offer remote and international working options, paid time off when children are unwell, early finishes on the last Friday of every month, and a dedicated wellness hour each week to help everyone reset and recharge.
Transparency & trust
A connected team thrives on honesty. We run quarterly anonymous surveys to gather real feedback, host monthly manager clinics and peer feedback sessions, and openly share company financials, wins, and challenges. Building trust means ensuring everyone feels heard and included.
Growth & recognition
Celebrating success is a core part of our culture. Whether it’s a big milestone or a small win, we come together at quarterly updates to recognise our team’s achievements. We’re constantly refining policies to better support our people, and through initiatives like B1G1, we ensure our impact extends beyond business.
These aren’t just perks; they’re commitments - commitments to creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and genuinely connected to their work and each other.

Growing together
Although our team has nearly doubled in size over the past two years, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to maintaining an environment where people thrive. We’ve learned that culture isn’t something you create once; it’s something you nurture daily.
With a team predominantly made up of Millennials and Gen Z, we embrace innovation, flexibility, and continuous learning. Mistakes are lessons, feedback is fuel, and growth is shared. No matter how much we scale, our culture will always be built on trust, transparency, and the belief that work should be something you enjoy, not just endure.
