The Best Workplaces for Women list recognises companies in the UK that are ensuring a reasonable balance of women and men across the organisation, removing barriers to women’s career advancement, and creating workplaces where all employees, regardless of gender, can flourish.
Our inclusion on this exclusive list officially acknowledges our commitment to creating a consistently and overwhelmingly positive employee experience, to fostering cultures that are proven to drive business, improve lives, and better society.
Helen, People & Culture Director at Bind Media, adds:
“As Bind’s People & Culture Director, and a woman in the workplace, I’m incredibly proud to work for a company that genuinely champions gender equality and inclusivity at every level. While our leadership team is co-founded by two men, active steps have been taken to diversify our board, with women now representing 29% of our internal board members, demonstrating their commitment to our people-first values.
Our talented design team is female-led, and we’re proud of the strong representation of female line managers across departments, particularly in Paid Media, where women are increasingly taking on meaningful leadership roles.
Over the past year, we’ve made significant progress in enhancing support for women. We’ve improved our maternity leave package and introduced enhanced onboarding and return-to-work processes for new parents, including structured guidance on KIT (Keep in Touch) days. We support women’s health through our WeCare benefit (including 24/7 GP and mental health support, extended to dependents), offer death-in-service cover via Canada Life, and continue to provide inclusive policies for menstrual and menopausal health. This includes menopause support through Vitality, free sanitary products, and gender-neutral toilets for dignity and accessibility.
But supporting women goes beyond health and parenting policies. We’ve taken strong steps to ensure fair and equitable career growth. We’ve ended salary history discussions and always publish salaries for roles. Our transparent progression framework is benchmarked, audited, and designed to reduce bias, ensuring fair advancement for all. We actively celebrate women’s achievements, whether it’s project leadership, promotions, or milestones in our kudos channel and at our monthly updates, recognising the vital impact they make on our business.
Our team has undergone DE&I training, including bias awareness for all employees and tailored DE&I training for managers. We’re output-focused, not hours-focused, which helps break down the outdated expectation of presenteeism that disproportionately impacts women. We promote flexibility in roles and working hours, supporting individuals to work in ways that align with their lifestyle and personal energy rhythms.
Importantly, women’s voices are represented at the highest levels of decision-making. Having diverse perspectives at the top table is key to building a truly inclusive and high-performing culture, and it’s something we value deeply at Bind.
Our inclusion on the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women list is a meaningful acknowledgement of our ongoing efforts, and I’m proud of the culture we continue to build together."
To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women List, Great Place To Work® analysed the anonymous responses of women in the workplace and considered their daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure they’re consistently experienced, as well. They then used these data insights to benchmark our company's employee value proposition against the culture our employees actually experience. Only the businesses that achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
Isabella Doyle, Senior Analytics Executive, referenced, "As a woman in tech, I’ve always felt supported at Bind Media. I’m trusted with the same opportunities and challenges as my colleagues, and individual strengths are recognised and championed. Bind Media’s introduction of gender-specific policies demonstrates a genuine commitment to equality in the workplace and has had a positive, tangible impact on my work–life balance."
While Eva Averill, Lead Designer, says, "At Bind, I run the design department - I don’t feel my experience is necessarily any different from a male running a team, and I think that says it all!"
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work UK says:
“This year’s UK’s Best Workplaces for Women list highlights organisations that are moving beyond good intentions and delivering real, measurable progress. These companies are dismantling outdated norms, prioritising women’s health, and building clear, supported pathways to leadership.
This recognition is driven by what matters most: the voices of women who work there. They’ve said, in their own words, that their workplace is one where they’re respected, empowered, and able to succeed.
Congratulations to Bind Media for leading by example, and showing what a genuinely inclusive workplace can look like.”
We’re so proud of this achievement and look forward to using the valuable insights Great Place To Work has provided us with to continually build on our culture and employee satisfaction.
