Life at Bind Media: The first 90 days with Paid Media talents.

At Bind, we talk a lot about our culture, our tech, and our “people-first" approach. But what does that actually look like in practice?

We sat down with Alex, Paid Media Manager, and Thomas, Senior Paid Media Executive, both of whom joined us in January 2026, to discuss their first four months, the “stuck" moments, and what you won’t find in a job description.

A woman and a man sat on a couch in an office setting.
Alex and Tom sat in our office :)

Q: Thinking back to your first day, what was one thing about Bind Media that immediately felt different from previous roles?

Alex: I remember being taken aback by the fact that everyone here is a true specialist. In previous roles, Tom and I both “wore many hats." Coming here, I initially felt a bit of anxiety: “What am I going to do?" But that quickly turned into comfort. I’ve settled into being a strategist, knowing I have the support of a team that knows their specific niches better than I ever could.

Tom: For me, it was the immediate impact of transparency. In many agencies, roles are siloed, and responsibilities are segmented. At Bind, I was immediately brought into the wider strategy. Whether it’s in person or in our Slack channels, the ability to share ideas across different functions is something I value every day.

Q: We talk a lot about industry-leading training. What is a new skill or tool you’ve mastered since joining?

Alex: I was actually promoted to Manager before I even finished my probation! Bind trusted me with that responsibility and put me through dedicated training programs. It has completely transformed how I view my role and my career trajectory.

Tom: The interaction with the technical team has been eye-opening. I’ve gained exposure to proprietary AI tools, data integration, and analytics management, areas I hadn’t touched much before. Having one-to-one support from the tech team to bridge that gap has been a game-changer.

Q: Agency life moves fast. When you hit your first “stuck" moment, how did the team react?

Alex: I had a budgeting question from a client who was very strict on numbers. There was a tiny discrepancy, and as I was still on probation, I felt awful. I posted in our shared chat, and the support was overwhelming. Multiple people immediately jumped in with solutions. It proved to me that the team truly has your back.

Tom: Early on, I was looking at a massive, complex dataset and simply didn’t know where to start. It was broad and intimidating. One of our Paid Media Managers, Lewis, didn't just give me the answer; he helped me break it down into a step-by-step process and taught me new tools to manage the data myself.

Q: What has been your proudest moment so far?

Alex: For much of my career, I’ve wanted to get into pitching. At Bind, the person who analyses the account and develops the strategy is the person who speaks to the client from day one. Delivering that as part of a team and winning the business was a huge milestone for me.

Tom: I agree. The pitching process here is so collaborative. I remember speaking to the CO team, the tech team, and the paid media team to build a unified strategy. It was a “giddy" feeling to see all those ideas come together and then see the results actually work once the client came on board. It’s a magical feeling when the plan comes to life.

Q: If you were speaking to someone looking at our Careers page, what’s the one thing they won’t find in the job description that makes working here worth it?

Alex: It’s the sense of community. You can’t put a “feeling" on a job description, but you feel it the moment you walk into the office. There is a buzz of experts from tech, CO, and paid media all chatting, not just about strategy, but supporting each other in general.

Tom: Radical transparency. “People first" is often a buzzword, but here it’s put into practice. If someone attends an event or watches a webinar, those insights are shared back to the whole team immediately. It’s a culture where sharing thoughts, feelings, and learnings isn’t just encouraged, it’s the standard.

We’re always looking for specialists who thrive in a transparent, collaborative environment. Check out our open roles on our Careers Page.
